Finding chemical data
in Web and Library sources

Chemical data may be buried within the printed handbooks and Web sites that are described in these Chemistry resources Web pages so you may need to try a few approaches. For example:

• try this search which looks for terms in a selection of data Web sites and in this Library's Chemistry pages e.g. search two terms such as chloroform density or enter a phrase such as "refractive index"
• browse relevant Chemistry pages by topic or looking in major data collections
• search for journal articles through databases, especially SciFinder scholar (Chemical abstracts), which also contains some calculated and experimental properties in the database records.
